Local, Regional and Statewide Energy Planning & Implementation

Please join us on Thursday, June 16th at 1 pm for the VPA Spring Workshop event “Local, Regional and Statewide Energy Planning & Implementation”. This event will be hybrid, accessible in person at the Little Theater located adjacent to the Woodstock Recreation Building at 54 River St., Woodstock, VT 05091 and online via Zoom.

As Vermont has become more vulnerable to the effects of climate change, the state has taken steps forward by establishing plans to lessen its impacts over time. The recently published Climate Action Plan and the recently updated Comprehensive Energy Plan list goals and targets to curtail future climate change effects. But how do we--within the state, our respective regions, and our respective municipalities--move towards achieving these targets and goals?

The workshop will open with a panel discussion at 1pm. At 2:45 VPA’s 2022 Planning Award winners will be recognized, followed by a 3pm mobile tour of energy implementation work in the Town of Woodstock. Light refreshments will be served
