Jim Rodman will sit down with Jara Tripiano, Director of Systems Engineering and Integration at NIWC-PAC. They will dive into technical enablers and barriers to digital engineering transformation.  They will also discuss the importance of DevSecOps, Model Based Systems Engineering, and Modeling & Simulation in the digital space. Jim and Jara will delve into systems engineering, cybersecurity, and the systems integration challenges our Navy faces.  Jim will touch on Jara’s leadership philosophy and how she manages to motivate her cadre of talented engineers to meet NAVWAR’s mission and vision.

Jara has over 20 years of diverse leadership, technical and management experience with a proven ability to adapt to new environments, emerge quickly as a leader and deliver outcomes. She is an influential communicator and outstanding collaborator who optimizes team performance to identify and resolve critical and complex issues. Additionally, Jara is an innovative and technically astute problem solver driven by results. She is a visionary technical leader that inspires action – aligning tactical and operational efforts with strategic priorities. Jim has thirty-five years of proven performance in the engineering, acquisition and operations of complex national, military, civil and commercial Space, C5ISR and Cyber/Enterprise Information Systems. His experience spans both civilian and military ranks as a senior defense industry executive, program manager and U.S. Navy Flag Officer. Jim is a licensed attorney specializing in aviation litigation, products liability and intellectual property.  He is currently the Chairman and Founder of a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business providing expert systems engineering and integration support to government, defense, and commercial customers for their Space, C5ISR, and Cyber/Enterprise Information systems.
