2022 CDOC STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT CONFERENCE
California’s Cancer Control Plan, COVID 19 Recovery, and Health Equity
Join as we convene as a coalition for the first time since 2019. We'll hear from experts on the impact COVID-19 has had on cancer care and how we move forward. The California Cancer Registry (CCR) will provide an overview of California's cancer burden and highlight where disparities exist. The importance of CCR data will also be presented through two case studies. Finally, we'll learn of implementation efforts of the 2021-2025 State Cancer Plan, and discuss collaborative opportunities.
Conference Objectives:
- Familiarize participants with California’s Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan, 2021-2025 and implementation efforts.
- Orient participants to cancer data in CA including trends in incidence/mortality and existing disparities for application to their work.
- Update participants on data collected and reporting processes of the California Cancer Registry.
- Inform participants about the effect COVID has had on cancer screening, treatment, and care.
