A Celebration of Many Cultures
Join the university community as a panel of UMGC faculty and staff members—representing multiple cultures from across the Pacific Ocean—focuses on the traditions and cultural pride they bring to the American melting pot. They will discuss their connection to their heritage, what they are most proud of in relation to it, how they uphold family customs, and how their backgrounds have influenced their work here at UMGC.
Panelists will also address misconceptions and current issues that affect their lives in this country. Attendees will be encouraged to participate in the discussion with questions and their own cultural insights.
