Come on out on a summer morning to explore two private native gardens in Old Town Fort Collins, CO! Learn from the experiences of the garden hosts as well as the other native plant loving attendees to get fresh ideas for your own landscape!
Visit each garden property at your leisure during the tour time-frame.
Garden 1 features a front yard filled primarily with native plants. Originally designed by a High Country Gardens employee, the yard demonstrates gorgeous curb appeal without any turf. The property was purchased last summer and the new owners are rapidly learning how to nurture their new landscape for its beauty as well as ecological benefits.
Garden 2 is part of an 11-acre property including a large pond along with a mix of dryland and wetland native species. The current owners have been working to restore the landscape since 2014 and will share their experiences. While the restoration is an ongoing process, you are welcome to wander the grounds during the tour.
