WHEN & WHERE: Thursday, June 23, from 9am - 1pm. Our group will meet at the boat ramp at the furthest southern end of Wallace Marine Park located on the west side of the river: 200 Glenn Creek Road NW Salem, OR 97304. Free parking is available and there are restrooms on site. *Do not leave any valuables in your car.

DETAILS: Pack along water, work gloves if you have them, a snack and sturdy close toed shoes that can get wet. A dry suit or waders is not required, but the water can still be cold this time of year! We will provide trash bags, non-latex gloves and trash pickers.

There are 2 options to participating in this on water event:

- Borrow a Willamette Riverkeeper canoe. Each canoe seats 2 people and comes with 2 PFDs and 2 paddles. Supply is limited and must be reserved in advance through this registration. If reserving a WRK canoe, you must bring your own paddling partner.

Our group will be launching at Wallace Marine Park - participants should be ready to have a safety chat and get on the water at 9am. The group will paddle down river and make stops at McLane Island, as well as Wallace House Park, where we will exit our boats to collect trash. The total paddle length is 5 miles from Wallace Marine to Keizer Rapids Park.

SHUTTLE: Willamette Riverkeeper has space in our van to shuttle 7 participants back to Wallace Marine Park when the trip is complete. Your seat must be reserved in advance.

Participants are welcome to set their own shuttle as well. Note that the drive from Keizer Rapids Park to Wallace Marine Park is ~20 minutes. Plan accordingly and be sure to arrive ready at the Wallace Marine Park boat ramp at 9am.
