About Women In Defense Space Coast Chapter (WIDSC): WIDSC was founded in 2013. Our mission is to provide networking and professional development opportunities for women’s roles in national defense and security, support military service members, and encourage partnerships within the local contractor community, defense industry and military personnel. WIDSC supports the advancement of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). We established the Space Coast STEM Scholarship Program and award scholarships to women of merit to help them pursue educational career goals. Since its inception, the organization has awarded over $60,000 in scholarships and contributed to numerous STEM-sponsored events.
