The lunch and learns consist of 4 voluntary sessions. It is recommended you attend in order, but this is not a requirement. All times are from 12PM to 1PM.

Lunch and Learn Sessions for Providers Interested in Transitioning to the LTSSMaryland - DDA Module

The Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) and the Medicaid Provider Services (MPS) division of the Maryland Department of Health are holding a lunch and learn series on the LTSSMaryland - DDA Module. This series is for providers who are transitioning or interested in transitioning to the LTSSMaryland - DDA Module. Participants are encouraged to attend each of the four sessions in order, but this is not a requirement.

These informal peer-exchange sessions offer provider representatives the opportunity to ask questions and share best practices in a supportive learning environment. DDA and MPS team representatives will be present to offer information, prompt discussion, and answer questions.
 
Below are the days and dates to register along with registration links. Each session is a different topic pertaining to LTSSMaryland - DDA Module readiness and transition expectations. If you miss any of the lunch and learn sessions, they will be posted on the DDA LTSSMaryland webpage. 

The lunch and learn topics are listed below per session:
Topic 1: What’s in it for You: An Introduction to the LTSSMaryland - DDA Module
Featured Speaker: Eric Saber, Deputy Director, Medicaid Provider Services - LTSS
Maryland Program Management Office
Objective: Participants will gain an understanding of the LTSSMaryland - DDA Module, including an overview of system management and performance. 
Date and Time: Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 12PM to 1PM
 
Topic 2: You’re Not in It Alone: Resources to Support Transition Readiness
Featured Speaker: Leslie Stusiak, Statewide Director of Provider Services, DDA
Objective: Participants will learn the resources available to providers to support transition readiness - including assessing readiness and walking through the e-prep process and codes of services. Lessons learned during the implementation process will also be shared.
Date and Time: Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 12PM to 1PM

Topic 3: Addressing the Elephant in the Room: What it Takes for Successful IT Integration and Staff Training
Featured Speaker: Paul Anderson, Abilities Network and Matt Morgan, The ARC of Central Chesapeake Region
Objective: Participants will learn how to assess IT needs and what questions should be asked when considering an IT system that supports the use of LTSSMaryland-DDA Module as well as expectations for staff around the billing training.

Topic 4: Putting it all Together: A look at a Provider’s Transition Plan
Featured Speaker: Amber Rose, Benedictine
Objective: Participants will have the opportunity to learn about what goes into creating a transition plan and suggested structures.
