Join South Coast Sailing Adventures and sailors from around the globe to promote the sport of sailing! Saturday, June 18, 2022, marks the 22nd anniversary of Summer Sailstice, which has grown to include participants from Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Join thousands from all 50 states and over 40 countries as we sail together, all over the world!!

Founded in 2001 by John Arndt, Summer Sailstice is the global sailing holiday celebrated on the weekend closest to the summer solstice. The event, created to unite the sailing community in a mutli-faceted, multi-location event, unites nearly 20,000 sailors from all over the globe. Cruisers, racers, and recreational sailors hit the water on Summer Sailstice day to celebrate and showcase life under sail.

This is a perfect opportunity to sharpen your sail trimming skills and to join other sailing enthusiasts for a day of celebration and fun! 

Schedule

-Check-in will begin at 12:30 pm

-Followed by the Skipper and Crew briefing

-At approximately 1:00 pm we will depart the docks

-Returning to the docks at 5:00 pm to clean and secure the boat

 After the sail we will gather on the patio for our dinner social. The club will provide the main entree. Please bring your favorite appetizer, side dish or dessert to share! All homemade creations will be entered into the “Culinary Delight Contest”. A prize will be awarded for the tastiest recipe, as judged by everyone. BYOB.
