 NJ 911 CIT 8-hour

Tele-Communicators Course

This course will give your Tele-Communicator the tools to utilize and the education needed to handle a caller in crisis or that may suffer from a mental illness or disability.  After this course you will have a better understanding of handling crisis situations and will be able to decipher a call and the caller's needs by knowing the correct questions to ask and pass on to first responders.

 Tele-Communicators Will:

 Be introduced to the CIT-NJ Program

Learn about Mental Illness

Recognize Mental health Crisis

Learn how to de-escalate callers

Learn how to obtain accurate information

Learn State/Couunty Mental Health Resources

Understand auditory hallucinations

Demonstrate training via Scenario Based Training

Will receive 8 CTE's for attending.
