In the first half of our lives, we learn skills, build families and careers, creating the vessel of our existence. Then comes the Second Half, the time to fill that vessel with what really matters. It doesn’t start at a specific age, it’s different for everyone, but we sense when we have arrived; it’s when a desire to explore what rally matters, our values and our place in God’s creation. Presiding Bishop Michael Curry has a name for what really matters, and calls it “The Way of Love: Practices for Jesus-Centered Life” .
Lifespan Ministry with Older Adults, a mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts, is pleased to offer a one-day retreat to explore the “Way of Love” program for older adults at the scenic and peaceful waterfront retreat setting at the Bertram Retreat Center of the Society of St. Margaret in Duxbury, MA. Spend a day in learning, discussion, prayer and silence as we explore the elements of the way of love as envisioned by Bishop Curry. This program will be facilitated by the Rev. Joe Robinson and Rev. Deacon Phil Flaherty. Space is limited, so please register early.
Registration for the retreat is full and we are no longer accepting stand-by requests!
