Enjoy exploring a Wild Ones Front Range member's garden and neighboring Roosevelt National Forest at 8200' between West Boulder and Nederland. Start by touring the host's personal garden and overview of the adjacent forest property. Then discover the wildflower and pollinator diversity on one of two different level hikes!
After exploring the host's garden, attendees may break into groups for guided hikes. One hike will be more rigorous to an upper riparian meadow and the other hike will be easier and stay closer to the house.
Each hike may last approximately 90 minutes although the distance traveled will not be extensive. Most of the time will be spent discovering the variety of wildflowers and their pollinators along the journey. One of the main attractions on both hikes is a Monarda meadow, where you may want to linger to take in the scent and watch the pollinator activity.
Attendees are also invited to relax on the expansive shaded deck to soak up the views and connect with fellow native plant enthusiasts along with enjoying snacks and drinks!
