Sex Trafficking 101: On New Mexico Tribal Land

This workshop will be for providers to learn the signs of sex trafficking and how to utilize resources in New Mexico. We will also discuss what sex trafficking looks like in tribal communities, and illustrate the difficulties of escaping and/or exiting sex trafficking. We will be hearing from providers and learn more about best practices to support trafficking survivors.

This workshop will have a limited registration.

Objectives:

  • Providers will know what sex trafficking can look like in tribal and urban communities.
  • Providers will obtain resources for sex trafficking survivors.
  • Engage in workshop with providers to determine how you can recognize ways to support survivors of sex trafficking.

Intended Audience: Direct service providers and advocates on New Mexico tribal lands and those working with victims and survivors of sex trafficking, and their dependent children.

Evalution and Certificate: A link to access our evaluation form will be provided to you during and at the end of the workshop. After submitting the evaluation, a digital copy of certificate of completion will be emailed.

If you have any question regarding this event, please email Michele Curtis at mcurtis@csvanw.org. If you have registered and cannot attend, please email Honey Sunday at hsunday@csvanw.org so she may update your registration status.
