Edible Adventure Crew provides the experience of harvesting and gleaning foods on local farms and sustainably gathering edible foods in the wild. Join us on July 17 at Springbank Farm, a 12-acre organic u-pick blueberry operation in Lebanon, Oregon. We will pick blueberries while we enjoy panoramic views near the South Santiam River.
How it works: We will meet at Springbank Farm in Lebanon, a little over two hours west of Bend. Folks can pick together or enjoy picking in solitude at this lovely blueberry farm. Springbank graciously offers Locavore participants the wholesale price per pound because we pick so many berries as a group. Pick blueberries to eat fresh, freeze or preserve. Yum!
What to bring: BYO containers for picking and transporting your berries.
Things to know: There is ample parking and picnic tables to use for lunch. Shaded parking is limited and dogs are not allowed in the blueberry patch. The drive to Springbank is a little over two hours from Bend, is very scenic and there are many spots to hike or swim along the way.
