Professional Building Consulting is a 16-hour course extension of the IIBEC Manual of Practice. It provides an overview of consultant roles that are unique to the roofing, exterior walls, and waterproofing industry. The course also identifies the consultant practices that are common to these three broad disciplines. The course examines building enclosure consultants and discusses what they do and how they do it and is a recommended foundation course for becoming more specialized.

INSTRUCTORS


Stephanie Robinson - P. Eng., WSP Canada

Stephanie is the Director of Building Sciences, Eastern Canada for WSP Canada Inc. She is based in Ottawa, Ontario and has over 14 years’ experience in investigation, design, contract administration and construction review of the building enclosure components for new and existing construction in both Canada and the United States. Stephanie is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario and a Level 2 Certified Thermographer. She serves on the Board of Directors for the IIBEC Quebec Ontario Chapter.

Jean-Guy Levaque - F-IIBEC, RRC, RRO, MAATO, GRP, Pretium Engineering

As a Specialist Roofing Consultant with more than 40 years of construction experience, and more than 32 years of roof consulting expertise, Jean-Guy Levaque has been providing valuable and practical solutions to high profile National clients for existing building retrofit and new construction projects. A fluently bilingual consultant, he has an in-depth knowledge of the roofing industry and is widely recognised throughout Canada, the U.S. and internationally. Mr. Levaque presently is active in CSA standards development, various IIBEC Committees, and CIB W83 Roofing Committee. In 2022, Jean-Guy has been recognised by his industry peers, with the honour of receiving the IIBEC Joe F. Hale Lifetime Achievement Award. Jean-Guy strives to understand the needs of clients and is dedicated to providing the best solutions, with integrity and honesty. He is passionate in his search for best practices in the roofing industry.

Cancellation Policy

  • Should you wish to cancel your registration, refunds will be issued up to two weeks prior to the event and a $25 administrative fee will apply.  After that time, no refunds will be permitted.  "No Shows" will not receive a refund, however, substitutions are permitted.
  • Should IIBEC Quebec Ontario Chapter cancel the course, we will notify you before September 14th and a full refund will be issued.
