My name is Bill Marriott and I'm the Chairman of the Huntsville-Madison County Veterans Week Committee. Each year our community conducts a series of events during the week of Veterans Day honoring the men and women who have served our country as a member of the Armed Forces.
In the past, our Nationally recognized parade has been highlighted by the local marching bands that participated. I want to offer my personal invitation to you and your band with the hope that you will consider honoring our Veterans with your participation.
The Parade takes place at 1100 on Friday, November 11th in downtown Huntsville and will last approximately 1.5 hours from start to finish. All bands will be recognized on live TV by our host station WAFF. We will also be judging and recognizing the top three bands from the parade and those winners will be highlighted live on WAFF during the broadcast as well as presented with appropriate awards during a subsequent ceremony.
Thank you for considering my request. Our Veterans and the entire Huntsville-Madison County community would greatly appreciate your support.
