-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Participants can earn up to 15 hours of professional development that have been approved by the Center for Early Learning Professionals. The 15 hours are attained by attending five sessions.

This five-week series is designed for professionals in early-childhood education. During each session educators will engage in fun and interactive learning, using digital & non-digital tools. Educators will leave each session with new digital resources from PBS KIDS and an action plan for how they will implement their learning. The goal is to empower educators with the tools, skills and confidence so that they may bring similar experiences to their communities. By the end of this workshop series, educators will be able to:

  • Support early learning objectives and knowledge goals when integrated into playful learning experiences.
  • Make informed choices in matching different teaching approaches to learning goals they have for their students.
  • Engage in playful, media-rich activities to explore how to facilitate science inquiry experiences with children.
  • Deconstruct the elements of the activities and consider how they can integrate the strategies and tools in their own instruction.
