Safe Schools Resource Officer/School Liaison

This one-day refresher course is designed for School Resource Officers, Class III Officers,School Security Personnel, School Safety Specialists, Juvenile Officers, or others who previously completed the Police Training Commission (PTC) Safe Schools Resource Officer/School Liaison Training Course two or more years ago. This course will provide current updates on necessary school safety-related law enforcement/education topics required for police to work effectively in New Jersey schools.   

Updates include Juvenile Laws; Search and Seizure requirements in Schools; Interviews and Interrogation; Marijuana/Cannabis mandatory reporting requirements for schools; Police requirements for reporting Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying to schools; Bias Incidents and Crimes; School requirements to report threats of violence; Police SARS reporting for school-based incidents; and more!

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made 8-14 days prior to class will incur a $25 cancellation penalty; Cancellations made 4-7 days prior to class will incur a $50 cancellation penalty; Cancellations made 3 days or less prior to class, and no shows will incur a 100% cancellation penalty
