The Gastonia Christmas Parade is a great event that takes place every year on the first Sunday in December as a part of Christmas in the City. This event is in partnership with the Keep Gastonia Beautiful Tree Lighting and the City of Gastonia Marketplace.
***Important Announcment*** The parade will be in reverse this year. We will start at Main and Oakland and end at Honey Hunters Stadium. Our safety brief will be November 28th at 6:30pm at the Police Department at 200 E Long St.
Since the event will be at nighttime, we ask that everyone use lights to decorate!
The parade begins at 5 pm and is followed by Christmas Tree Lighting in downtown. All parade entries should be at the staging area between 3:30-4:30 pm on the day of the parade.
We will again give out a trophy for the most creative entry! The judges will consist of city employees and the winner will be announced at the Tree Lighting event following the parade.
REMEMBER: There is only 1 Santa and he will accompany the Jaycees. Please do not have any members of your party dress to look like Santa. Thank you for your cooperation.
The Christmas In The City marketplace starts at 5:00pm at thestadium and will end after the Tree Lighting ceremony. Tree Lighting and Marketplace will end at 8pm. CLICK HERE for VENDOR application which is separate from the parade.
