A lot of focus is put on learning the alphabet with young readers. While alphabetic principle is important, there is more to learning to read than just the ABCs. Emergent literacy skills can help professionals and parents cultivate reading skills from birth. These skills include oral language, print knowledge, and phonological processing. During this presentation, we will discuss each of these skills, ways that professionals and parents can address them, and provide information about when to seek further assistance. Presenter: Sydney Bassard, MS, CCC-SLP of The Listening SLP, LLC.
This workshop is $10 per person.
