WHAT: Join Willamette Riverkeeper, the City of Keizer and Oregon State Parks for this family friendly trash cleanup event at Keizer Rapids Park as a part of Willamette Riverkeeper's 14th Annual Great Willamette Cleanup!

We will also be joined by Starbucks and the Mid Willamette Outreach Group - City of Salem, Marion County and Marion Soil & Water Conservation District, as well as City of Keizer. Grab a coffee or some tea and visit their booths throughout the morning to learn more about their work throughout the area!

WHEN & WHERE: Saturday, October 15 from 9 - 12pm at Keizer Rapids Park. Check in will be located near the Keizer Rapids Boat Ramp. The parking lot is near the boat ramp at the south end of the park. Public restrooms are available.

ON LAND DETAILS: We will be working throughout the park, which includes paved and unpaved trail options. Pack along water, work glives if you have them and sturdy close toed shoes. This portion of the event is great for all ages. Participants are welcome to finish at their own pace, however are encouraged to stay, visit our partner booths abnd enjoy the park. Trash bags, non-latex gloves and trash pickers will be provided.

ON WATER DETAILS: Our group will travel up river together to cleanup trash only accessible by boat access. Pack along your own water craft (kayak, canoe, SUP, jet ski, etc.), paddle and PFD (must be worn at all times while on the water). Don't have a boat? Borrow a kayak from Salem Kayak Rentals! Reserve your boat through our registration link below. Additional items to pack: Water, a snack, sunscreen, weather protective wear, waders/dry suits are a great idea for this time of year as well. There will be no access to restrooms while on the water. The on water portion of this event is best suited for those 18 and older, or 14+ if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

EVENT RAFFLE: All participants will be entered into a drawing to win a gift from OPRD, Willamette Riverkeeper and a TBA local Keizer business! Drawing will take place at 12pm, must be present to win.
