2022-23 District Vision Contacts Meeting
On Friday, December 2, 2022 the Florida Department of Education, Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services (BEESS) will host a meeting specifically for district contacts responsible for the programs for students with visual impairments in order to share information and facilitate discussion regarding this population. FIMC-VI has reserved a room block at the Hotel Tampa Riverwalk (200 N Ashley Dr, Tampa, FL 33602) at the rate of $169.00/night, and the overnight parking fee is $20/day. Reservations can be made by visiting the hotel website or calling 813-761-3201 and using group code EDUHILL.
The workshop will be held at the USF CAMLS Institute, which is a short .3 mile or 6 minute walk away from the hotel.
If you are local to the area and will be parking at the workshop venue, please note that there are several parking lots and garages across the street with daily parking fees of up to $15. We recommend that attendees use the Ft. Brooke parking garage, which has a daily fee of $12.
