The conference is open to anyone committed to moving transportation workforce development forward, including labor and management representatives, frontline workers, trainers and mentors, community leaders, educators, non-profits, advocacy groups, and government representatives.

Making Connections 2022 is organized by the Transit Workforce Center (TWC) and co-sponsored by the National Transit Institute (NTI).

Operated by the International Transportation Learning Center (ITLC), TWC is the Federal Transit Administration’s first ever national technical assistance center for transit workforce development. In partnership with the FTA, the TWC supports public transit agencies’ workforce development needs for all modes of public transit across urban, tribal, and rural entities. The overarching mission of TWC is to assist public transit agencies to recruit, hire, train, and retain the diverse workforce needed now and in the future.
