RMA Carolinas-Virginias November Appraisal Managers Roundtable

The Carolinas-Virginias Regional RMA Chapter will be hosting an in-person Appraisal Manager Roundtable in Richmond, VA at the Williams Mullen Center. This roundtable is an exclusive event for Chief Appraisers, Appraisal Managers and Appraisal Department staff of community and regional banks. The program will be held on November 10, 2022 from 9 am to 2 pm. It will include lunch and a networking session.

This meeting will be moderated by Anna Austin, MAI, AI-GRS, Senior Commercial Appraisal Reviewer at Atlantic Union Bank. This meeting we will have six guests:

• Christine Cooper, Chief U.S. Economist and Managing Director at CoStar
• Michael Cobb, Director of Market Analytics at CoStar
• Douglas Woolley III, Chief Credit Officer at Atlantic Union Bank
• Matthew Mitchell, MAI, Director of the Richmond office at CBRE Valuation & Advisory Services
• Jamie Tyson, SRA and Tim Ferguson, Senior Residential Appraisal Reviewers at Atlantic Union Bank.

Our first portion of the meeting will be dedicated to hearing hot topics relating to the current state of the U.S. economy as well as our regional market. This part will be presented by Christine Cooper and Michael Cobb – our guests from CoStar. Next, we will have a discussion about the role of valuations and the appraisal process in credit decision-making with Douglas Woolley. After that, we will move on to a discussion about current trends and challenges faced by commercial and residential appraisers with Matthew Mitchell, Jamie Tyson and Tim Fergsuon.

We will close with lunch and a networking session.
