The UK-Canada Trade Continuity Agreement entered into force on April 1, 2021 - preserving preferential market access for both Canadian and UK businesses.

The UK and Canada launched negotiations on a new Free Trade Agreement in March of this year, aiming to bring benefits for both countries and strengthen a trading relationship already worth over £19 billion in 2020.

Building on the benefits of the UK-Canada Trade Continuity Agreement, the new Free Trade Agreement will go further than ever before in areas like innovation, digital, data, the environment and women’s economic empowerment.

This event will be a conversation on how things have changed (or not) until now, we will hear from experts in customs and logistics and from British and / or Canadian companies importing / exporting goods.

The objective of the event is to provide an overview of the current situation, and tips for those looking at exporting/importing between Canada and the UK.

Taking place just before “International Trade Week” - UK’s largest trade and export-focused event hosted by the UK Department for International Trade, this event will also introduce Canada to British companies looking for new markets.
