In this workshop, we will explore stories about resolving grief, learning humility, managing relationships, managing anger, and more. We will focus on the healing power of story from the extremes of lifelong trauma to the joys and diversion of Indigenous humor as exemplified by Coyote (trickster) as an agent of conscious change and transformation. This workshop is both for those who wish to reap the benefits of healing by actively listening to and experiencing healing stories as well as those whose work with others will benefit from learning to tell and use healing stories. We will draw from stories from our own backgrounds and from those of the people with whom we work, and we invite participants to bring stories from their own cultural backgrounds for use in our therapeutic endeavors.
