Joint ASCE, GRA, WateReuse Meeting - City of Morro Bay WRF Technical Tour

Please join the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) San Luis Obispo (SLO) Branch, the Central Coast Branch of the Groundwater Resources Association (GRA), and the WateReuse Central Coast Chapter on Thursday, December 8th to enjoy a technical tour of the City of Morro Bay Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). Tour will include the newly constructed Water Resources Center, a 1.8 Million Gallon per Day (MGD) Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) wastewater treatment facility and a 1 MGD Advanced Treatment System, which includes Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Ultraviolet Light/Advanced Oxidation (UV/AOP) treatment processes. The Water Resources Center will provide the City the ability to produce Advanced Purified Water for groundwater injection into the Morro Valley Groundwater Basin to increase recharge, prevent seawater intrusion and reduce Nitrate contamination.
