2023 Face to Face Audiology Resources Boot Camp: Foundations of Compliance, Coding, Billing and Pricing
Please join us for our annual two-day training event, focusing on the foundations of coding, Medicare and Medicaid, managed care/revenue cycle, pricing and differentiation, and ethical/legal considerations in an audiology practice. This course is geared to audiologists, audiology staff, and students. This course offers up to 16.5 hours of audiology continuing education.
Audiology Resources will be hosting a Audiology Boot Camp 2023: Foundations of Compliance, Coding, Billing, and Pricing on Thursday, April 27, 2023 and Friday, April 28, 2023 at the Hilton Garden Inn O'Hare. The course will run Thursday and Friday from 8AM to 5:00PM CST. Breakfast and lunch will be served. There will be a 15 minute morning and afternoon break and a 45 minute lunch break each day.
Accomodations are available at the Hilton Garden Inn at a rate of $144 per night, double occupancy. Registrants can reserve sleeping rooms at https://www.hilton.com/en/attend-my-event/audiologyresourcesapril2023/. The sleeping room block closes on March 27, 2023. Parking at the hotel is free and the hotel is easily accessible from I-90 and I-294. If you fly into O'Hare International Airport, the hotel offers a free shuttle. If you fly into Midway, we suggest you rent a car. There are many shops (Chicago Fashion Outlet), restaurants, and a casino in easy access to the hotel.
Audiology Resources, Inc. is approved by the American Academy of Audiology to offer Academy CEUs for this activity. The program is worth a maximum of 1.65 CEUs. Academy approval of this continuing education activity is based on course content only and does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedure, or adherence of the event to the Academy's Code of Ethics. Any views that are presented are those of the presenter/CE Provider and not necessarily of the American Academy of Audiology.
The course is geared to audiology practices, otolaryngology practices which house an audiology department, hospital audiology departments or hearing aid dispensing practices which employ audiologists. Registration is open to administrators, practice managers, audiologists, coders, office staff, hearing aid dispensers and AuD students.
Day #1 Agenda:
Morning: Compliance and Ethical Legal (HIPAA, Telehealth, Ant-Kickback, False Claims, Stark Laws, Licensure, FDA OTC and Prescription Changes)
Afternoon: Fundamentals of Coding (CPT, Including Telehealth and Evaluation and Management, ICD10, HCPCS, Modifiers, Place of Service Codes and Merit-Based Incentive Payment System)
Day #2 Agenda:
Morning: Managing Managed Care/Revenue Cycle (Review of Termonology, Medicare and Medicare Changes for 2023, Medicaid Basics, Managed Care Enrollment, Contracting and Credentialing, Billing Processes and Procedures, Insurance Verification, Private Insurance Billing Fundamentals, and Third-party Adminstrators/Networks Tips)
Afternoon: Pricing and Differentiation (Creation and Monetization of a 21st century, Patient Centered, Evidence-Based Audiology Practice, Teleaudiology, Creation of Pricing and Delivery Models, Including Unbundling and Service Delivery Models, Hearing Aid Rental Programs, and Mobile, Virtual and/or Concierge Care Models)
Dr. Cavitt will address questions following the conclusion of the Boot Camp. This service is built into the cost of the event. AUDIOLOGY RESOURCES WILL ONLY ANSWER QUESTIONS FROM PAID REGISTRANTS, BOTH DURING OR AFTER THE COURSE AND WILL ONLY SUPPLY COURSE MATERIALS TO PAID REGISTRANTS. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. No charge questions are answered for a period of time based upon your level of registration:
- Two-Day Boot Camp registrants: No charge questions and guidance is available until November 1, 2023.
- One-Day Boot Camp registrants: No charge questions and guidance is available until August 1, 2023.

- This event will NOT be recorded. The February 2023 Boot Camp was recorded and is available at audiology-resources.thinkific.com.
- When registering for the Boot Camp, each registrant must register with a unique name and email address. This is a CEU requirement.
- CEUs are ONLY available for paid registrants.
- If you are seeking association CEUs, you must include your membership number in your registration. CEUs cannot be processed without your member number.
- Please let us know, in advance, if you require a certificate of attendance so we can have it prepared and sent to you.
- Please let us know if you have dietary retsrictions prior to regsitering for the event. We will do the best we can to meet these needs.
- Registrants will not be able to record the event. The video and electronic slides are the property of Audiology Resources, Inc. and cannot be used, printed, recorded or disseminated without the written consent of Audiology Resources, Inc. Registrants can purchase, for an additional fee, recorded access to the event.
