There is limited space and conservation district watershed specialists will be cut. Brand new hires will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Existing NRCS and conservation district staff with agriculture-focused positions will get priority for the 30 seats available. Others will be considered as space is available.

Attention NRCS employees: Do not submit SF182 until you receive confirmation that you are approved to attend this training.

For 2023, the Basic Level training will be held twice. The content is the same, and attendees will only attend one week. The dates are March 21 and March 23 (virtual) and March 27-30, 2023 and May 1-4, 2023 (in-person). You may indicate your preference on the application, but the week you'll be accepted to cannot be guaranteed.

If you do not receive confirmation from PACD, you will not be admitted. No walk-ins will be accepted.

Participant registration fees are waived. Funding is provided through a Special Leadership Development Project Grant, sponsored by the Natural Resources Conservation Service and State Conservation Commission.

An overnight room block will be available. Information will be provided to those accepted into the course.

Reimbursement policy (conservation districts only):
PACD will reimburse the conservation district (up to $130/person/night) AS FUNDING ALLOWS for the lodging of those whose office is more than 45 miles away from Fort Indiantown Gap. Monday through Wednesday evenings only. Please note: there may not be sufficient funding to fund all four nights for every district employee.

Lunch will be provided. Breakfast and dinner will not be provided. Please plan to bring your own refillable water bottle and coffee mug.

The deadline to apply is January 27, 2023.
