Cecil Fielder
- Played 14 years in the MLB with Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees, Anaheim Angels, and Cleveland Indians
- Hit 51 homers in 1991
- Won a World Series in 1996 with the New York Yankees
- Finished his Career with 319 Home Runs, and 1,008 RBI
- Three time All Star
- Two-time Silver Slugger Winner
- Two-time American League Home Run Leader
- Three-time American League RBI Leader
- One of only four players, and only Tiger, to homer over the left-field roof at Tiger Stadium
2023 Distinguished Alumnus Award Recipient
Jeff Vergolini
- Played at EMU from 1985-1988
- Played for Coach Oestrike in 1987, his last season as head coach
- Was a catcher, and caught with teammate Chris Hoiles, who played 10 seasons in the MLB with the Baltimore Orioles
- Has been instrumental in leading the Alumni for decades and was an original founder of the Diamond Club in 2011
- Since his playing days he has played a pivotal role in organizing events for the EMU Baseball Alumni including the Alumni Game, Golf Outing, and Lead Off Dinner
- Has helped raise over $110,000 for the Diamond Club and EMU Baseball
