North Sails Bluewater Open Day

If you are dreaming of sailing across oceans, then the North Sails Bluewater Open Day is for you. Come along and join us for this free to attend event, where you will meet other ARC sailors, learn about different aspects of sail selection, sail care and types of downwind sails. You can chat with experts in our seminars and join a training workshop to find out how to care for your sails offshore. 

The Open Day Includes....

1. Loft tour – how do North build super yacht sails?
2. Planning your sail Inventory: in person presentation about blue water sail inventories and choices
3. On water maintenance and round the world servicing –  hands on training workshop on repairing sails at sea, learn about sail valeting, plus the option to buy a North Sails sail repair kit.
4. Downwind sails – demonstration of different sail handling systems, furlers and more

ARC Safety Equipment Display

Take some time explore the key items of safety equipment needed to comply with the ARC entry requirements. As well as an offshore liferaft, there will be Crew-overboard marking and recovery stems, offshore lifejackets and other  items to view plus experts from Ocean Safety to answer your questions.

Free to Attend...

The Open Day is free to attend, but we will ask you to reserve a place. Suitable for ages 14 years and above.

Timings...

The North Sails Bluewater Open Day runs from 10AM to 2PM on Saturday 04 February, and a full tour takes around 30 minutes. Between tours there is a break-out zone, where you can grab a coffee and chat with other ARC sailors and our experts. Last tour is at 1PM.
