Kelly Daugherty, LCSW-R, FT, (Fellow in Thanatology: Death, Dying and Bereavement), owner of Greater Life Grief Counseling, LCSW, in Malta, NY, and The Center for Informed Grief, LLC. As a teenager grieving her mom’s death, Kelly benefited from a Hospice grief support group, where her passion for grief and loss started. Kelly finds meaning in her grief by helping individuals navigate their grief journey by utilizing cutting-edge, proven techniques.
Over her 20-year career, Kelly has helped thousands of individuals navigate their grief by providing individual and group therapy to children and adults experiencing illness and bereavement. In addition, Kelly co-created Healing Strides, combining grief counseling and mindfulness with walk/run-based therapy.
Kelly is a co-author of Holistic Mental Health and Brave Kids: Short Stories to Inspire Our Future World-Changers (release date 5/2/23) and The Grief Experience: Tools for Acceptance, Resilience, and Connection (release date 2/6/24).
When Kelly is not working, she enjoys DIY art projects and spending time with her husband, Kevin, their pup, and her seven nieces and nephews.
