Melorheostosis Association Conference 2023 

Join us for the 13th International Melorheostosis Conference for a chance to meet and interact with other patients, doctors who have treated and are researching melo and listen to informative sessions about the disease.


Tentative agenda items will include:

  • Melo Overview
  • Update on Research
  • Patient and Supporter Interactive Sessions
  • Fundraising
  • Pain Management
  • Individual Patient Case Studies (optional)

The conference will be held Friday, October 20 - Sunday, October 23, 2023.  We will begin with a reception on Friday at 7:00 pm with light appetizers and cash bar.  Saturday will begin at 8:00 am with breakfast and sessions from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and dinner, dancing and fun to follow!  Sunday will begin at 8:00 am with breakfast and will end around 12:00 pm with boxed lunches for all to take. 

Registration Information

  • Early Registration Fee (before August 01, 2023):  $100 per adult, $50 per child (ages 5 – 12)
  • Regular Registration Fee (after August 02, 2023): $200 per person, $100 per child (ages 5 – 12)
  • Children under 5 are free

Once you attend the conference your registration fee can be returned to you upon request OR it will be donated to the Melorheostosis Association to help pay for the 2025 conference.  We are a not-for- profit, all-volunteer association who rely solely on fundraising and donations to fund these conferences and we appreciate your generosity!

Your registration fee will include the following food during the conference:

You can also call to make your reservations by calling the Embassy Suites Bethesda directly 1-301-897-5600 and mentioning the Melorheostosis Association Conference.  You will receive a group rate of $159/night.  This room block will be held until September 22, 2023 please make your reservation by this date as after that, the special rate will not be given. 

Each patient/group will need to pay for their own rooms for this conference as well as incidentals. The association will be covering the cost of the conference rooms, food and fun during the conference.

Scholarship Application

 For patients requiring financial assistance to attend, limited scholarships are available based on need.  Please click this link to apply.  All applications will be reviewed at the same time on June 10th and an email will be sent to let you know the status after that time.  

If you are applying for a scholarship, please complete the registration form and select "Check" as your payment option for the registration fee. If selected for a scholarship, your check will be returned to you at the conference.

Patient Case Studies

Patients who have not yet been seen by the panel of doctors and wish to participate in the case studies, please sign up at registration and feel free to bring your xrays, surgical reports and anything else you wish to share with the doctors with you.  You can provide them securely to us ahead of time in order to save time that day.
