AIHEC SPRING 2023 BoD Meeting

AIHEC is pleased to conduct our 2023 Spring Board of Directors Meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our host hotel is the Clyde Hotel and the meeting will take place in the Pavilion I-III meeting room. This is a one-day board meeting as all committee meetings were conducted virtually.

• Friday, March 3, 2023: USAID TCU Leadership Dinner Meeting for TCU Presidents/Designee (one participant per TCU please). See below for more information.
• Saturday, March 4, 2023: Spring AIHEC board meeting  (Breakfast: 7:45 am; Meeting: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm MT  - in person with the option to participate virtually, if needed

• The Clyde Hotel: 330 Tijeras Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. AIHEC does not have a separate lodging room block for our meeting. You should use the 2023 AIHEC Student Conference room block for your lodging needs. To use the student conference room block, click here or call (505) 302-6930 and reference group code 2023AIHECS.  Reservations under the room block must be made by February 10, 2023 (or until the block is full, whichever is earlier) to receive the discounted rate. Airport: The closest airport to the hotel  is Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ)(Approximately 10 miles away from the hotels listed and the Convention Center.)

Weather Averages: High of 57 degrees F, low of 35 degrees F. Be prepared for varying weather when you are outside. Bring a sweater for indoor meetings.

Event Dress: Business casual is recommended for this event.

USAID Staff and Leadership Dinner:  President or designee, you are invited to join the USAID Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Team at a dinner on March 3 to share food, ideas and experiences with other school and USAID leadership. This dinner will allow us the opportunity to meet you, learn more about your schools and get your insights into how USAID can best work with institutions like yours. Note About Health and Safety: AIHEC is closely monitoring the spread of the covid-19 virus, and we will continue to be guided by the recommendations from the CDC, local public health professionals, and the current health and travel guidance from the New Mexico State Department of Health.  (See here.) AIHEC reserves the right to convert the board meeting to virtual should the situation warrant a change of plans; however, currently, there is no indication that this will be necessary.
