The Kentucky Office of Rural Health, in partnership with the Seattle-based Resuscitation Academy, will host the Kentucky Resuscitation Academy on April 26-27, 2023 at the Elizabethtown Tourism & Convention Bureau.
The one-day, free workshop (on Wednesday, April 26) provides evidence-based training to improve out-of-hospital cardiac arrest resuscitation outcomes. Topics to be addressed include: the science of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), telephone CPR, high-performance CPR, rapid dispatch, cardiac arrest data collection, and implementing best practices.
An optional, free second day of training (on Thursday, April 27) allows attendees to participate in a High-Performance CPR Train the Trainer Workshop, which is designed to provide instruction, coaching and feedback to professionals who want to teach high-performance CPR to others.
Academy sessions are intended for 911 Center Directors, Medical Directors, EMS Chiefs/Directors, Quality Improvement Managers and Training Officers. Other professionals working in the emergency medicine field (ER nurses, ER physicians) might also benefit from the training.
