Introduction to Concealed Carry Course

5 hour course
Maximum number of students: 6
Cost: $99.99 per person

The Introduction to Concealed Carry Course is a training course designed for the individual who wishes to carry a firearm for personal defense purposes. The course will consist of classroom instruction, and a practical live fire session on our indoor range. The focus of this course is to provide a good introduction of personal defense marksmanship and concealed carry skills. Students will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course. Instructional topics include:

* Concealed carry best practices

* The Four Count draw presentation from concealment

* Reinforcement of handgun marksmanship fundamentals

This course is NOT a beginner shooting course. Attendees must have good familiarity with their handgun, in terms of loading, unloading, and basic marksmanship accuracy.

Course attendees MUST bring a kydex or stiff leather holster using belt loops or clips, with rigid leather or nylon belt, for dominant side carry at the waist, inside waistband or outside waistband.

Required equipment/items: Course attendees will come to class with the following: a centerfire semi auto pistol or centerfire revolver (recommended calibers: .38 special, .380, 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP; no big bore calibers such as .410, 454, 44 mag, 50 AE, etc.; 100 rounds of range ammunition (Note: No steel cased/steel core ammo is allowed on the range); a waist belt kydex or leather rigid holster that does not collapse and that covers trigger guard, for strong side outside or inside waist band carry of handgun, with sturdy leather or nylon belt that will hold the gun and holster securely; a concealment garment such as a shirt or jacket; at least two magazines for semi auto pistol; hearing and eye protection; ball cap with a bill; appropriate clothing and footwear for the range; water/drinks and snacks; picture ID; optional range bag; optional mag loader (Uplula is best). Retention holsters that require trigger finger button release are not permitted for this course. Get the holster early, get a decent belt, and try on the holster with clothing to be worn at the class. Ensure the unloaded handgun goes in smoothly and easily, and can be drawn smoothly and easily.

Prerequisites: Course attendees must be at least 21 years of age. Attendees MUST have previously shot the handgun they are bringing to class, and they should understand and be able to demonstrate basic handgun marksmanship skills and safe gun handling, to get the most benefit from this course. Attendees must be familiar with loading, unloading, and operation of their handgun. Again, this course is NOT a first shooting experience! Attendees must have previously viewed the Remington Range safety video and be able to show the safety card or cellphone picture of the card. (This can be completed on the same day at Remington Range, any time prior to class start). Registered clients will get a detailed email that lists what to bring for the course. Check your email. If you do NOT get an email from the instructor, you are not registered yet. Email the instructor if you don't get an email.

Cancellation Policy: Registered clients who wish to cancel for a refund, are requested to do so at least 48 hours prior to the class. Cancellation requests made later, or no shows, may not be honored, unless for last minute sickness or emergency.

We reserve the right to cancel a class, if a minimum number of registrations is not met. All registered clients will receive email notifications and full refunds, if we must cancel.
