Brandon Road Lock & Dam Presentation 

EWRI, in conjunction with the UIC student chapter of ASCE, is hosting a presentation on the Brandon Road Lock & Dam. The structure is located along the Des Plaines River in Joliet, IL. The Lock & Dam includes multiple layers of structural and non-structural deterrents designed to prevent the spread of invasive species, including Asian carp, now referred to as COPI, from the Illinois Waterway into the Great Lakes. Come check out this awesome presentation on Wednesday March 1^st at 5:30pm on UIC’s campus. Loren Wobig, the Director of IDNR-OWR will be presenting. The presentation is slated to last approximately 30-45 minutes. The event is free and 1 PDH will be available!
