Reports and complexities of stalking through location-tracking devices continue to rise as technology advances. Lack of knowledge and information about these devices can put domestic violence survivors at greater risk of harm. ODVN is excited to announce a new collaborative initiative to combat GPS stalking, which was created in response to growing reports of stalking and monitoring through GPS-tracking devices. This initiative links domestic violence advocates and survivors with car mechanics trained to inspect vehicles for hidden GPS-tracking technology that may be used to stalk or monitor.

In this training, participants will learn about ODVN's Combatting Car Monitoring initiative and gain resources to support survivors who may be experiencing stalking through GPS-tracking technology. Trainers will teach participants strategies for safety planning with survivors facing this issue and provide insight on how domestic violence programs can create collaborations in their own communities to develop creative solutions to evolving problems.
