How to Train Staff Effectively - Webinar (04/25/2023)

You’ve finally done it! You’ve found the perfect fit for a vacant position. Or maybe you’ve realized that your staff needs some refresher training to absorb all of the changes that have happened in your library.

So what’s your plan? Are you sure you’ve got everything covered? Have you established criteria for success? How deep does your plan go?

Something we don’t always think about is the fundamental differences that exist among human beings. Yes, we talk about serving everyone in the way they need to be served, but are we training our staff members in the way they need to be trained? Are we using all of the resources at our disposal?

Come to this 90-minute webinar to get answers to these important questions and likely a host of others as well!

Virtual Trainer: Linda Bruno

Linda has been developing and conducting training workshops for libraries and other organizations for more than fifteen years. She offers workshops on topics ranging from Leadership Skills to Emotional Intelligence – and lots of areas in between!

Linda received her MBA from the University of Florida and has years of experience in hands-on management positions. She develops her workshops based on solid research and – more importantly – real-life application. Linda is also certified with DDI and Achieve Global.

This is an online class. Access information will be emailed one week ahead.

Cost: NEFLIN classes are free of charge for Florida library staff. Registration is required for all classes and NEFLIN members get priority.

This project was funded either under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act from the Institute of Museum and Library Services or the Library Cooperative Grant program.
