5:15-5:45 Acorn to Arabella—Journey of a Wooden Boat & Utilizing Local Wood Resources

 Steve Denette & Anne Bryant will talk about the wooden boat building project in Granby MA that has made national news. How local wood has been utilized and the opportunities for local boat builders to access specialty lumber often turned into firewood by the tree care industry.

5:45-6:15 Dinner - Dinner Buffet - Boiled Ham, Italian Meatballs, Macaroni w/Marinara Sauce, Polish Kielbasa, Fried Chicken Drummers, Fresh Vegetable, Potato Salad, Tossed Salad, Fruit Salad, Sliced Tomatoes, Sliced American Cheese, Assorted Relishes ~ Rolls & Butter ~ Assorted Desserts ~ Coffee, Tea or Milk.

6:15-7:15 Modern Wood Heat for Municipal and Private Sector Buildings

Jonathan Parrott will discuss “The Modern Wood Heat” using your wood chips to replace fossil fuel & traditional wood heating systems. Learn about State programs designed to promote the use of this efficient & clean technology in the municipal and private sectors. Jonathon will also introduce us to the Mass Forest Alliance, it’s historical roots, mission & programs to promote sustainable forestry and associated benefits to our communities.
