Thank You to Our Meeting Strategic Partner!

Program Description:
Working for a financial services firm with an aging clientele means encountering a host of issues related to elder care; the Financial Planning Association has even created a new ‘Elder Planning Specialist’ program to bring a new depth of expertise to advisors.  In our next chapter meeting, we invite elder care professionals to guide us through a morass of medical, psychological, family, legal, and financial issues.

Topics outlined for this session include:

  • Who is on the elder care team?
  • What legal actions are permissible related to a client with reduced capacity?
  • What are the trade-offs between aging in place or moving to a care facility?
  • How do financial advisors determine when our clients or their families need assistance?
  • How should financial advisors broach the topic of elder care with clients who have aging parents or who need care themselves?

Panel will include a Q&A session at the end. Join us at the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club on Tuesday, March 14th.

*This topic has been approved by the CFP Board for 1.0 hour of CE credit.
