Faith On Fire 2023: Living for God

Just want to register? Register Now!

Faith on Fire is returns to St. Mary Catholic Church on August 11-13, 2023.

Faith on Fire (FOF) Family Weekend is the signature Catholic Event of the Pacific Northwest, a spiritually transformative celebration of Catholic fatih, fellowship, and vocations.  And it and supports Pope St. John Paul II’s call to a new evangelization.

Through our theme Living for God, our keynote speakers will examine what it means to live our Catholic faith on a daily basis. There is also a separate youth track with age-appropriate activities and lessons. Between sessions, we’ll be treated to praise and worship music by Daniel Oberreuter. There will be time for personal sacraments, adoration, and prayer, culminating in an evening healing service. Registration and meal costs are kept to a minimum, and free camping is offered on the church grounds, so that entire families may attend.

Guest Speakers: The Finkbonner Family

The Finkbonners are a local family in our Archdicoese with strong ties to the Native American Community. As a young child, Jake Finkbonner was dying from a rare and sudden flesh-eating disease when he was miraculously healed after a relic of (then Blessed, now Saint) Kateri Tekakwitha was placed on him and prayed over by Sister Kateri Mitchell and his family. This miracle led to Kateri Tekakwitha’s canonization in 2012.

Father Justin Ryan & Father Tyler Johnson

Father Ryan is the Director of Vocations and Father Tyler Johnson is the Associate Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese of Seattle.  The Office of Vocations celebrates God's universal call to holiness by helping foster a culture of vocations in our families, parishes and schools.  They also promote and identify potential vocations to the priesthood and diaconate, while assisting men's and women's religious communities in their efforts to invite new vocations.
