9:00 – 9:30         Registration

9:30 – 9:45         Welcome and Introductions

9:45 – 10:35       Faster Payments - Patrick Dix, SHAZAM

Faster Payments: Opportunities, challenges, and the conversations you should be having right now. For the last few years, the term “faster payments” has been talked about as the industry tried to define a new set of payment rails. Now, with the rollout of FedNow, the challenge falls to your institution. How will you be using faster payments?  When will your cardholders and merchants become senders and receivers? This session will outline progress on the development of the faster payments, challenges in defining how “faster” will impact your bottom line, and key decisions your bank will have to make to ensure it is up to speed.

10:35 – 10:50    Break

10:50 – 12:00    Inflation, the Fed, and Balance Sheet Management - Kamal Hosein, Stifel Managing Director

With the velocity of interest rate changes and loan/deposit levels, managing the balance sheet’s exposure to liquidity, interest rate and credit risk continues to be paramount. This session will explore aggregate industry sensitivities across these risks, decompose the review into peer ranges, and draw parallels for how other institutions may react. Commentary throughout will include references to peer activity, regulatory and accounting developments, and finally relative value opportunities in investments, loans, funding and derivatives.

12:00 – 1:00       Lunch - Sponsored by FNBB

1:00 – 1:30         Commerce Secretary, Hugh McDonald

The Arkansas Commerce Secretary will outline the state's strategic vision for economic development and highlight initiatives aimed at attracting new businesses, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating job opportunities. The secretary will discuss key sectors, investment incentives, infrastructure projects, and collaborative partnerships, emphasizing Arkansas' commitment to driving sustainable growth and improving the quality of life for its residents.

1:30 – 2:20         Arkansas Economic Update - Mervin Jebaraj, Director, Center for Business and Economic Research at University of Arkansas

Insights into the current economic landscape of the state, including trends, opportunities, and challenges.

2:20 – 2:30         Break

2:30 – 3:20         National Economic Update - Katheen Navin, Senior Business Economist – Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
