Please join us for this interactive, virtual workshop
Skills such as empathy, active listening, and co-regulation can be attained and enhanced through learning and practice. Advocates who can self-check how they are feeling internally can better offer an emotionally safe space for youth and adult survivors of domestic violence.
Join this workshop to review the “tone of your caregiving". Participants will reflect on individual self-care and explore topics such as secondary trauma exposure, centering and regulating activities, and barriers to effective co-regulation. Participants will leave this workshop with three self-selected strategies to enhance self-care and the care of domestic violence survivors.
Noteworthy: Please join with the expectation of participating and talking with one another, risking thoughts, trying ideas during role-play and scenarios, and breaking into small group work over Zoom. If you participate and wish to receive CEUs you will need to demonstrate your participation with cameras on, engage in conversation, and actively participate in small group work.
