Part One: Online Marketing for Small Business: Websites, SEO and Email Marketing, Challenging, Petrifying and Scary! Where to start offline

In this session we will cover website best practices, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Email marketing. After this session you will come away with some things to think about, like whether it’s better for your business to do a DIY website or pay a professional website designer. Learn the difference between onsite and offsite SEO, and whether your business should consider email marketing and some tips on making email marketing more effective. This is part one of three marketing sessions.

Presenter Heather Turner is a Merrimack Valley Certified SCORE mentor. She spent twenty years cooking professionally and in 2003 started her own business (with the assistance of a SCORE mentor). She currently teaches social media and marketing for small businesses and mentors and co-mentors in the chapter for marketing and social media for startup businesses and for existing businesses who need some help and guidance in the digital age.
