Presented by The Ion Center for Violence Prevention, this program provides an overview of various types of power-based personal violence and actions that can be taken by bystanders to prevent violence.
The first of a two-part program, this session covers the definitions, dynamics, and effects of power-based violence. Participants will engage in activities and discussions that explore the varied impklications these experiences of violence may have in personal and professional interactions. This program will also discuss violence prevention through the bystander intervention lens, equipping participants with the tools they need to interrupt acts of violence and contribute to environments of safety.
