This workshop for parents will address how to teach your child about money. Topics include: allowance, paying for chores, educating your child about the responsibilities and rewards of money: how to get it, how to spend it and how to keep it.
YOUR CHILD AND TECHNOLOGY - ON ZOOM
(for PARENTS of children ages 6 - 12)
This workshop will look at the ins and outs of cell phones and computers in parenting a technology based generation.
Topics include: appropriate screen time for each age group, internet safety, cell phone expectations and how to work together with your child to navigate ever changing technology.
TRIPLE P TEEN: POSITIVE PARENTING PROGRAM - ON ZOOM
(for PARENTS of teens ages 11 and up)
Learn to apply Triple P Positive Parenting strategies with your teen. Parents learn about the causes of adolescent behavior problems, setting specific goals, using strategies to promote a teenager's skills development, managing inappropriate behaviour, and teaching emotional self regulation. Learn how to plan around risk-taking behaviour or risky situations. *A manual is required to participate and must be picked up from our centre. Or you can pay for courier.
PRESCHOOL AND TODDLER SERIES - ON ZOOM
(for PARENTS of children ages 0 to 5)
These 2 hour workshops will help you navigate the common challenges parents face when parenting a toddler. Learn valuable tips, strategies and communication tools to help your toddler manage their emotions and behaviour. All sessions will be held on ZOOM. *Please feel free to register for one session or as many as you like!

HOW TO LISTEN SO KIDS WILL TALK - ON ZOOM
(for PARENTS of children from birth to age 9)
This 3 week program will cover key topics from How to Talk so Kids will Listen, including helping children manage their feelings, effective discipline, using praise, and encouraging autonomy.
SAFETY SKILLS FOR NEW PARENTS - IN PERSON
(for new or expecting PARENTS)
This one evening class will teach infant choking rescue and CPR. And how to avoid having to use those skills. Working from the idea “if you can predict it, you can prevent it”, we will talk about common hazards for babies and toddlers and how to avoid them. Topics included are falls, choking and car seat safety. Participants will receive a Home Safety booklet. Come with your safety questions. This is not a certified class.
PARENT EDUCATOR 1-TO-1 APPOINTMENTS - ON ZOOM
(for parents or caregivers)
This individualized one to one service will provide you, in your role as parent, with an opportunity to focus on challenges you are experiencing with your child.

If you withdraw from a program more than seven days prior to the start date, you may receive a refund of your course fee, less a $5.00 administration fee. After this time, or once the program has started no refunds will be made. Full refunds will be issued if we cancel a course.
