Join us for this webinar that is co-presented by representatives of two important family-focused initiatives from West Virginia DHHR: Family Coordination from the Bureau for Behavioral Health, and the Family Resource Network from the Bureau for Social Services.

This presentation will offer information about resources and engagement of families with a child, youth, or young adult who has a mental health diagnosis or substance use disorder. It is beneficial for families struggling to have support and strategies to assist them with their child, youth, or young adult.  Involvement of parents and other family members has been proven to create better outcomes for those in treatment.

Presenters

Jessica Fulknier (WV DHHR BCF) is the Program Manager for Community Partnerships. She holds a BA in Counseling from Marshall University. MSW from WVU. She worked in CPS for 6 years, training Child welfare for 15 years, 2 years as the Services Array Coordinator, and recently became Program Manager over Community Partnerships, which includes the child welfare Service Array, SNS Services, Family First Services, and assists with the Safe at Home wraparound program.

Roxanne Chaney (WV DHHR BBH) is the Lead Family Coordinator who oversees two federal funded grants: the Family Coordinator grant and the Family Advocacy Support Training grant (FAST) through West Virginia Legal Aid. Roxanne’s passion is to provide information to families about mental health and substance use disorder services they can utilize. Roxanne conducts monthly meetings with the Statewide Family Advisory Board and resource events throughout the state. Her efforts help to make sure families’ voices are heard and systems can be improved. She also creates a quarterly newsletter titled “Family Connections.”
