Risk assessment is a crucial tool for all advocates and professionals working with survivors of domestic violence. This quarter’s Tuesdays@2 will focus on Lethality and Risk Assessment strategies to ensure that staff are adequately prepared to respond to high-risk domestic violence cases. Participants will learn about risk factors associated with domestic violence homicides, how to gather risk information, and how risk information is used once it has been collected by advocates, police, or courts. Participants will also learn multiple strategies on how to incorporate risk information into decision-making and engage in survivor-defined safety planning.
