Please join us for this interactive, virtual workshop
How we serve the youngest domestic violence survivors matters. Diversity, equity, and inclusion require that domestic violence programs embrace children and teen survivors as truly deserving of services. Partnering with the parent is as much a part of inclusion as is working with their children. Building relationships with children and teens, respecting their uniqueness, validating their lives, and honoring their journey are vital to building community and healing. Together, let’s explore principles of equity within service design, youth spaces, and youth interactions.
This workshop will include opportunities for reflection, examples of youth engagement philosophy, and more.
Noteworthy: Please join with the expectation of participating and talking with one another, risking thoughts, trying ideas during role-play and scenarios, and breaking into small group work over Zoom. If you participate and wish to receive CEUs you will need to demonstrate your participation with cameras on, engage in conversation, and actively participate in small group work.
